Levels of hormones that make us feel good & those hormones involved in social attachment, go up when were around dogs & stress hormone levels go down.

Group Dog Walk 12/10




Who was on our walk? Bella, Inca, Alice, George, Ruby & Honey. I also had Andrew along as a dog walking helper.
What time were we in the park?1-2
Were did we go?Sydney Park
General comments: Bella & Inca had a great time running around, playing together. Alice & George were so well behaved they enjoyed them selves running around sniffing everything. Honey had a great time running & playing with everyone & everything. It was Rubys first walk with us so she stayed on her lead & got lots of extra pats & cuddles to help to make her feel welcome. We spent the whole walk walking between different water bowls in the park because it was so warm :)

Nala is a 5 year old, female, Jack Russell. Nala sticks very close to me on our walks. when there is a dog that is falling behind she will always stop & wait for them to catch up. & she gets any one in trouble if they are playing to rough.

Jasper is a 11 year old, Golden Retriever. Jasper is a very kind gentle natured dog. He still acts like a puppy when he is excited but he is usually the slowest walker in the group. He also hates it when i stop & talk to people when were out walking.

Born 7/02. Male. Staffie. Leroy is a lovely boy, he is very affectionate & always happy & excited to greet me. Leroy can some times get a bit bossy with younger dogs, I think he likes to teach them lessons & he also likes to play tug of war with his lead :)
